Trevor Bigham a native of the Grand Strand area, where he attended Socastee High School. Trevor grew up in a family that was deeply involved in various aspects of real estate development that spanned several generations. As such, even from a young age, he was naturally emersed into the family business. However, growing up during the 2008 financial crisis and witnessing its devastating impact on families, people's lives, businesses, and retirement savings; Trevor’s desire to understand more about personal finance and risk mitigation led him to pursue a degree in Economics at Coastal Carolina University. During his time at CCU, Trevor was awarded an opportunity to intern at Carolina Wealth Advisors. During this internship, he gained valuable experience in the personal financial planning realm which coupled with his studies of economics gave him the tools to better understand what he witnessed during 2008.
Following his graduation, Trevor embarked on a professional journey that allowed him to explore various facets of financial planning. He worked at both Smith Sapp, CPAs, and Anderson Brothers Bank, each providing unique perspectives on the intricacies of financial management. These experiences reaffirmed his desire to help individuals plan for their financial goals and navigate unforeseen financial challenges. Driven by his passion, Trevor returned "home" to Carolina Wealth Advisors where he could focus more on comprehensive financial planning and went on to earn the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. This qualification helped solidify his expertise and has enabled him to provide a more comprehensive financial experience for clients.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Trevor is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Hanna. They have two sons named Beau and Dawson, accompanied by their lovable canine companion, Hops.
